Saturday’s events kickoff with the annual Sam Huff Hall of Fame Charity Sports Breakfast in the Hollywood Ballroom at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, one of the generous sponsors of the event. “To date, the West Virginia Breeders Classics has raised nearly $350,000 for local charities, including the Charles Town Races Chaplaincy and the Eastern Panhandle CARE Clinic, and this year we believe our partnership with the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle will help maximize our efforts to contribute to the people of West Virginia,” said Carol Holden, President of the WVBC.

United Way of the Eastern Panhandle brings together businesses, labor, government agencies, community organizations and committed individuals, in a united effort to fund 35 Jefferson, Berkeley, and Morgan County health and human service non-profit partner agencies through its annual Community Campaign and is the region’s central trusted resource for donor philanthropy.
