Welcome to the West Virginia Breeders Classics!

Now entering its 31st year, the West Virginia Breeders Classics event has generated $25 million in purses for the breeders and horsemen of West Virginia and become the premier horse racing event on Charles Town’s fall calendar.

And we’re more than just racing.  The West Virginia Breeders Classics includes numerous events — a Breakfast of Champions, a golf tournament, and more — as well as making charitable donations to important local and statewide organizations.

The brainchild of National Football League Hall of Famer and West Virginia native Sam Huff, the West Virginia Breeders Classics are a one-night event with a year-round impact.

West Virginia Breeders Classics is proud to announce that the West Virginia Breeders Classics XXXI races will run on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2017 at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in Charles Town, West Virginia. Post time is 7:00 p.m and will air on Fox SportsNet. The night will feature the $500,000 West Virginia Breeders Classic along with supporting WVBC races, including the Jefferson Security Bank “Cavada,” Triple Crown, Vincent Moscarelli Memorial, WV Lottery, “Dash For Cash,” Division of Tourism, WVTBA “Onion Juice,” and Distaff.
