2018 “NAME THAT FOAL” HORSE NOW A WINNER!
In 2018 the foal that was the subject of our “Name that Foal” contest was a West Virginia-bred filly by Charitable Man out of the productive Yankee Victor mare Candy One.
And, like her siblings before her, she’s showing real promise on the track. Named Candyforacause, the filly, who finished sixth in her debut, came back on September 6 to rally from the rear of the field and score by a head in a maiden special weight contest at Charles Town.
Trainer by James W. Casey, whose Taylor Mountain Farm operation bred and owns her, Candyforacause now has a win from two starts and career earnings of $16,655!
